Hi Everyone,
Any kind person to answer my questions regard to Visit visa?
I'd like to apply for Visit visa to attend a workshop in a few months.
I am an Iranian Student in malaysia and I need to communicate my request through mail to singapore office.
do you think the following would be sufficient to get my visa granted?
I have 3 house leases under my name and Im sub renting them to individuals.
Ill be graduating around 2 months after I want to visit and so far spent around $ USD 20000.00 for my college.
I have around USD 10 K in my account.
Ive been living in malaysia since 2008. and once visited Bali Indonesia.
So If i register for the workshop and get invitation from therm and leave my wife behind and college to go back to, will i get visa?
I just dont want to spend my saving without checking.
what are the chances?
what else should I have ? Im only 24 years old BTW.
Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts.
salutes

I am not an authority, but I think you are going to be short of proof of ties to your home country. Your present status as a student and the fact your wife also lives in a country other than your own is not great. Your income is from subletting "LEASED" properties, so you do not own them. There is nothing compelling you to return to your home country. Definitely include details about your course, what grades you are getting and how long you have been studying (ie are you completing the course in usual amount of time or been taking it easy?) Bank balance looks sufficient. Describe the workshop and how it relates to your studies. Will it help you get a job in your home country? Describe in detail. Have you earned the invitation as a result of your hard work or is it just something you'd like to do? Hope you have checked how long it takes for majority of visas to be processed for your country and allowed sufficient time for that. Good luck and cross your fingers.

Oh thank you for your reply.
well definitely it is related to my field and is not available in malaysia. Its certificate is very promising for my future career.
About college, I took it easy as I was away for long terms.

Is it O.k if i ask only for 3 days? Because the workshop is 2 days only and I can not be exposed to cold due to my condition.

My crystal ball is in use by someone in the Federal Skilled Worker forum, so I cannot make any promises about your chances of success. From what you have said, I understand that you have taken your time doing your studies. Is that correct? From the VO perspective, that could indicate that you are in no hurry to graduate or leave Malaysia and get back to Iran which is not a strong position from which to apply for the TRV. I don't think I would bring up any health issues in your letter, but be sure to buy travel insurance for emergencies (it may or may not cover you for pre-existing conditions). Requesting three days may be a bit short as you will have variable flight times and a bit of jetlag to get over, so don't cut yourself too short. Am sure 5-7 days would be reasonable. Provide a full itinerary in your cover letter, including where you plan to stay. Elaborate on the relevance of the workshop to your studies, as I think that is your strongest selling point. All the best.

LOL, I get you man, I hate it too when someone naive asks me questions that could not be answered. I know 2 people with same condition would get totally different results.
No man I am more into living in malaysia than leaving it, after all Ive been here for 5 years.

So the more detailed information I give the better, like wifey is pregnant. and this course is only available in USA and Canada and Ill be the very first to get such certificate in malaysia.
I really appreciate your sharing.

Actually, that's Ma'am, LOL....and yes, the more detailed and attached to the country you plan to return to, the better. All the best. I really hope it works and you will let us know when you get the visa.

oops sorry Ma'am :D
Thank you very much and I will definitely look into applying the correct way.
Is 2 months before the event enough for me to apply? o I should apply way earlier than 2 months before my visit?
