First of all, you need to know that the rules for skilled worker are changing and have not been published yet, in the meantime, new rules are already being applied to applications so it's not like you can avoid them by applying now. The new rules will be published in the next couple of months and as far as we have heard, they have a list of occupations for skilled worker and occupations not on the list might not be able to apply so I advise you wait for the new rules because you could be wasting your time.

The city where you intend to live is not important and I do not even know why they ask that. The only thing is that it can not be a city in Quebec because they have their own skilled worker program. Examples of English speaking cities are Toronto and Ottawa in Ontario. Toronto is the largest city in Canada and very diverse, Ottawa is the capital and is right on the Quebec border. Also Vancouver, BC on the west coast, good economy, nice weather. Also Edmonton and Calgary in AB, cold winters but economy is booming and easy to get a job.
