Question about the landing

Hi all,

I'm currently living inside Canada with a work permit valid until 2020, but I was recently approved for the permanent residency through the federal skilled worker of the EE. I sent the passports to the immigration and got them back with another visa (I believe it is the 1 entry visa) plus the letter with the instructions and the forms to be signed at the time of the landing containing our photos. It seems they haven't scratched the work visa.

Now, I want to do the landing as soon as possible, but I have 2 upcoming travels to my home country, one in November and one in December. If I do the landing on the way back of my travel in November, I'm supposed to wait the the PR card to arrive to leave the country again (it supposedly can take around 2 months to arrive). I know there is a way of leaving the country without the PR card, but I would like to avoid that.

My question is: can I leave the country in November, not do the landing (get into Canada with my current work visa), and then do the landing on the way back of my travel in December?

I'm trying to call them, but impossible to talk, they don't even put me in the wait.

Thanks,

Rafael Ricca

Yes, personally that's what I would do if I were you. Get back to Canada with work visa in November, so you don't trigger PR status.
And then when you get back to Canada in December, declare to CBSA you're here to do your PR landing.
