Hi all,

I previously had a question about T4a and T4, but I moved on to work an extra 6 months to fulfill the CEC requirement.

However, I just have one question hoping someone could answer this. Currently, I have been working and receiving paystubs with deducted cpp/ei since February, but did not for Jan. I talked to my employer and he said he will be paying the penalties for the cpp/ei as they file the tax next year. So I will be able to have a T4 by next year Jan.

My only concern is that even though the employer is willing to give me payrolls and pay penalty for cpp/ei for january, will there be some problem with applying CEC stream?

Thanks

I don't think CPP/EI would necessarily be the problem, but sounds like you also don't have paystubs for January, that might be a problem. T4 won't show when you started working but to prove you've been working since January, you'd need some records lijke paystub or contract or something. Honestly why not just work for one more month so there won't be issues?
