My fiance and I are applying for the Quebec Skilled worker, she has a 2 year diploma in Business Management and Marketing I wonder how many points would get in the education.
The diploma is awarded by an UK awarding body (edexcel.com) and first Im not sure if this diploma would be considered technical/college or university type diploma because its level is at the same time within college and university here in Ireland.
But what I really dont get is in regards to the document LISTE DES DOMAINES DE FORMATION (2009)
In the list above I can only see it at section B as Gestion de commerces (DEC - 3 ans)
and listed at section C as Administration des affaires (BACC. - 3 ans)
As it is not a bachelor and it is a Diploma issued by a college I believe that it would then refer to the one in section B?!
But then what about the fact that the course was a 2 year and not 3 years as it says in the pdf list in the link above?
Would that mean that according to the page here in candavisa website: canadavisa com/quebec-immigration-education.html
This diploma would then award in total 6 points by the rule:
Postsecondary school technical diploma attesting to 2 years of full-time studies 6 points
or would it award 22 points (in case it matches business management in section b) by the rules:
Postsecondary school technical diploma attesting to 2 years of full-time studies in training listed in Section A or B of the 'Areas of Training' criterion 10 points
Section B of the areas 12 points
This course was around 15 hours a week, so around 1000 hours in total for the two years, does that mean anything in special?
What matters the most to the canadian immigration, the duration of the course, the level in which the course is equivalent to(if there is such a thing)?
I wonder where I would get an "official answer" to this doubt that I have, maybe someone knows in immigration lawyer office that would be able to tell me whats my case...
Im afraid that this 2 year Business Diploma wont get us enough points and maybe it might be better to try to apply for the visa for the FSW program
Ah also, not sure if that matters but..., we are applying in the Brazilian office in Sao Paulo.
Im gonna stop right here so this post is not any bigger then what it already is I can provide more info in case I wanst very clear.
Thanks in advance
