Question about provincial nomination

Since the last CRS draw score went really high, I have not started investigating provincial nomination. I have a few questions that I could not find answer to:

1) Can one apply for many provincial nominations simultaneously, or is it limited on only one province at a time?
2) Did I understand correctly that if you are eligible for Ontario PNP, I will get a message after creating my EE profile?
3) It seems that some PNPs are open all year long (for example NB), is this correct?

1. You can apply to multiple provinces simultaneously.

2. Yes.

3. All of them have fixed targets per year and stay open till they get the required number of applicants. Check their sites for more information.

I believe I should be illegible for OINP. But I do not have any invitation. Is there something I can do to get it, or did I miss anything? On the canadavisa website the following things are mentioned:

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible to apply for the Ontario Human Capital Priorities Stream, you must meet the following provincial criteria:

CRS score: All applicants must score a minimum of 400 points under the CRS. YES I have this

Work Experience: All applicants require a minimum level of work experience. Candidates who choose to be assessed against the FSWP criteria must have a minimum of one year of continuous and full-time employment (1,560 hours or more) or an equal amount in continuous part-time paid work experience in a National Occupation Classification (NOC) level 0, A, or B occupation in the past five years from the date of the PT Notification of Interest from Ontario. This work experience must have been completed in one specific NOC occupation. Candidates who choose to be assessed against the CEC criteria are required to have a minimum of one year of cumulative and full-time employment (1,560 hours or more) or an equal amount in part-time paid work experience in a NOC 0, A, or B occupation in Canada in the past three years from the date of the PT notification of interest from OOPNP.
I believe I have this too, that is why my score is above 400.

Education: All applicants must have a Canadian Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree or an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report produced by a designated organization indicating that their foreign education is the equivalent of a Canadian Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree.
My ECA report indicates my degree is equivalent to Canadian Bachelors

Language Proficiency: All applicants must have a language level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 or above in all language competencies (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) in either English or French, as proven by language test results from a standardised language test recognised by the governments of Canada and Ontario.
I have CLB 8 throughout in English

Settlement Funds: All applicants must possess sufficient unencumbered funds that are readily transferable in a convertible currency to cover settlement costs in Ontario. This must be supported by bank statements.
I filled in a sum slightly higher than the fund required to bring into Canada for my family size.

Intention to Reside in Ontario: All applicants must intend to reside in Ontario, as demonstrated by a statement of intent and indication of ties to Ontario.
I showed intent for ALL provinces

What's missing?

OINP might have stopped sending out invites as they may have possibly completed their quota for 2015. You would probably have to wait for them to announce their 2016 numbers.

Else try withdrawing and recreating your profile in a week or so to see if that triggers anything.

Thanks for your reply Asivad. I was afraid if there was some very specific rule that I had missed. Maybe its worth while asking the people on the forum if they are getting OINPs or not to understand if new profiles are receiving OINP invites.

I have maybe missed out on a quite a few provincial nominations because I started to seriously look into immigration in February after getting my IELTS score.

1) How many provincial nominations opened up last year?
2) Is it easier to get nomination from provinces like Saskatchewan or PIE - because they are not in a lot of demand?
3) Do provinces have there own internal draws or is it more first come first serve basis, or is it different for different provinces?
4) As long as I stay active in this forum, can I be assured I will know of future provincial nomination programs opening up?

1. Ontario had 2700 nominations via EE. Other provinces had their own numbers. Expect more numbers to open up this year as other provinces warm up to EE.

2. Some provinces tend to work harder to attract new immigrants so their norms might be relatively less stringent compared to other provinces.

3. Each province has their own selection criteria, targets and programs.

4. Very likely. You will need to closely follow the relevant threads/discussions.
