Question about Processing Office

Hello everyone!!

I just got nominated for AINP - Family stream (PNP), and im Filling the forms to send to the CIO... but, there is one question in the generic form IMM 0008 that says

"Immigration office requested for processing this application:"

im from venezuela and the instructions says:


Immigration Office requested for the processing of your application

Indicate the name of the Immigration Office which serves:

your country of nationality, or the country in which you are residing, provided that you have been lawfully admitted to that country for at least one year.



AND in the table of visa offices says:

Caracas - Economic Class applications are processed in Mexico City

Well, my big question is... should write Mexico city or Caracas?, since my Provincial nominee program falls into the Economic class? im not 100% sure, its kinda confusing for me and i hope that anyone could give me a hand on this one

You aren't economic class, you are family class. Thus your application would be processed through Caracas.

Economic class would be skilled worker, investor, entrepreneur or self employed.

If you are economic then you would go through Mexico City. No matter, if you put down the wrong office CPC-M will correct it. If it makes it to the wrong visa office, it will be forwarded to the correct visa office.

Yes, that's correct. No need to worry about it. If you put wrong office, CIO Sydney will correct it and forward your application to right one. After visa office received your application, they will send u a AOR email and u will know which office is processing your case. As a PNP applicant, u r economic not family.
