Hello Everyone,
I just want to ask a question regarding the Post Graduate Work Permit that I am a student of 2 year computer diploma course, I have stared my study in Canada in January 2012 and I was upgrading my english and math during January 2012(winter semester), May 2012(summer semester)(Full time student with more than 12 credits), but from September 2012(Fall Semester) I have started my full academic semester, means this September 2012 (Fall 2012 Sem) is my first academic semester(full time student with more than 15 credits), and I am near to done it so, I have already register for January 2013 (winter semester 2013)(full time student with 10 credits). In the meantime my University transfer my credits from India for this diploma,and now I need to do only 5 more courses to get diploma. From these 5 course I have already register for 3 courses in winter 2013, and on rest 2 university is still processing my request for transferring the credits and most probably I will get credits for those 2 courses too.
So, my question is that this is my 2 year diploma, but due to my credits are transferred so obviously I will get my diploma sooner after winter 2013, but I have done 2 full time academic semesters in university so,could I eligible to have post graduate work permit for 2 years or more than 2 years, or I will get WP only for the duration how long I have studied in Canada. my point is that after end of winter 2013 semester I will done 4 semesters in university so university will give me the certificate for 2 year diploma, and then I will eligible to have WP for 2 years or more than 2 years. AM I RIGHT OR NOT.?? or ...Do I need to spend 2 years i university to have WP for 2 years or more than 2 years and strictly I need to be full time and academic in all semesters because I am not full time and academic student in fist semester and then I was full time in Summer 2012 semester but not academic. from fall 2012 till present I am full time and academic too. please share your answers many many thx in advance..
