My wife arrived US on Sep. 12, 2016 and left US on Mar. 10, 2017, but because of different time zones, actual landing date in China is Mar. 11, 2017. So the passport shows: Exit China: Sep. 12, 2016 and Enter China Mar. 11, 2017. Does she need a police certificate?

Based on CIC web: Police certificates are required up front and are mandatory for each country (except Canada) where an individual has lived for a total of six months or more.

I would totally get her PCC if I were you. Arguing this is technically not a full 6-month period is probably not going to fly. Plus, you don't want to bear the stress that your application might be rejected just because of this missing PCC
