Question about passports

Hello everyone! I was wondering, I have a valid passport until 2016 with a Visa and study permit on it until 2015. Now I'll be getting a new passport until 2024. They'll stamp "CANCELLED" on the ID part of the passport and other blank pages (NOT VISA PARTS). Can I still enter and study in Canada with the combination of my new (and empty) and old (with Immigration documents)? Apparently It shouldn't be a problem with the visa but not sure about the study permit. I'll be carrying both by the way until i renew my visa/permit to my new one. Thanks!

have u already got a study permit or ru talking about LOI?
normally u carry both ur old passport and new passport too...just make sure they see the visa on old passport at POE.
