Me and my wife got married recently and we have a question. She is a Canadian born Serb, and I'm born and raised in Serbia. We met in Serbia when she was visiting her family and the beginning of our relationship, we decided that it was a good idea for me to come to me to experience and see her world since she already experienced mine. So we applied for a touristic Visa for me and she sent an invitation letter. With some advice from friends that applied before, they recommended that we should put me as a ‘family friend’. Now my parent’s friends are all saying how that was a bad idea…? Will they decline mine permanent resident application all because of a "family friend" in our invitation letter from about a year ago?
