Are you qualified to be a sponsor if you live at home with your parents? I've looked around and haven't had an easy time finding any information about this...

EDIT: I just realized I didn't clarify, I meant sponsoring a spouse.

CIC wants some proof that you or your spouse will not go on welfare after they land as PR. So they want to know how you will be supporting yourself. Are you currently working? A student? Where will you live when your spouse lands?

Many couples send notarized letters from their parents or other relatives saying that the are offering a place to live and financial support until the couple can get on their feet.
