I work as a tax compliance officer since 2010 and I chose noc code 1228. My official job title on my employment letter is officer 1. I got promoted to assistant manager - Human Resources in 2018 but my duties are still the same as when I was a tax compliance officer. Nothing to do with HR.
Is it possible for me to only claim the experience as a tax compliance officer (2010 to 2017) and add my promotion as assistant manager to personal history and not claim points for it? CIC requires all positions held within the same company to be included in the letter. How do I include this since the duties did not change?
For example. My reference letter will only reflect my employment dates as a tax compliance officer since it was for more than 3 years and gives me the requisite points. My current role as assistant manager will be in my personal history. Do you think this will work?
If this won't work, can you suggest how I can word the reference letter to show that my title changed but my duties didn't change. I'm afraid that CIC will assume I chose the wrong noc code when they see my job title.
