Question about interview

Once an outland app has been approved and on its way to the visa office, is there still a chance that they may request an interview? From what I gather, the interview is required to prove the legitimacy of the relationship- if the first stage approval goes thru, could there be an interview later?

The approval/refusal at Mississauga, is only to see if the sponsor is eligible. It is the overseas office that determines if a relationship is bona fide or if an interview is required.

Hello, I am not an expert, but remember the process has 2 parts, one in Canada, and the other abroad, in your case in Rome, so if you got approved in the first part(in Canada), once they have your file in Rome, they can ask for an interview, or something extra to prove the legitimacy.
