Question about holding concurrent Study Permit & PGWP

Hi all and @Naturgrl
I have a PGWP and a Study Permit at the same time. I'm currently in school and taking classes for Spring 2022 term. The thing is, my school is pushing us to go back in-person class with no safety measure in place and the infection rate of Omicron is staggering high.
So I just wonder if it's legally feasible for me to take academic leave for this semester and remain in Canada on PGWP until April 2022?
Will my Study Permit be cancelled if I take an academic leave?

You need to talk to your school about taking official leave, so your permit is not cancelled if you are out of school for too long.
