Hello Everyone,

I have a quick question, I received around 5K in my account from one of my friend as he is paying me back the money I lend it to him. Now what should I do in terms of declaring it. I am not sure how to declare it as it is my money which I am getting back. Please help.

A self-declaration from your friend would suffice. Get as many transaction details mentioned in there as well.

Can you give some kind of example or template for Self Declaration??

Also, I spoke to my bank regarding the Bank Letter, They said they can only put since when I am using this account and Current balance and it is in good condition. They said that's the standard format they have for Immigration. They can't put another information like credit card and Line of Credit and all.
Any suggestion on this.

Lastly, When I made profile I put $5000 as the funds I have and I got the Invitation to apply under CEC. Do I really need to show 12K in my account.
I was reading it on CIC website,
Unless you are currently authorized to work in Canada and have a valid job offer from an employer in Canada, or you qualify under the Canadian Experience Class, you must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada.

Here it says if you qualify under CEC, then I do not have to show 12K. I am bit confused here please help.

If you have an ITA under the CEC stream, you don't need to worry at all. Submit whatever format your bank certificate is in along with evidence of work authorization status, job offer letter mentioning salary details, T4, NOA etc to reinforce your application.

All the best!
