Hi there,
My wife is submitted her PR application in early August after arriving in Canada with visitor visa on June 22, 2024 (still in progress). Unfortunately, we did not realize that we had to apply for a OWP and/or Visitor Record before her visitor visa expired on Dec 22, 2024. Online, it states that we need to receive the PR approval in principle letter to be eligible to apply for OWP given that she no longer has a valid temporary resident status.
Our biggest concern is that the deadline for the restoration period is only within 90 days and we aren't certain that the PR application would be approved within that period.
In this situation, do we need to restore her visitor visa status while awaiting the results of her PR application?
