I'm currently in Brazil visiting my fiancee. We will be traveling back to Canada together but unfortunately on different flights (as mine is connecting in the USA and he does not currently have an in transit USA visa)
anyways I'm just concerned because I won't be able to go through customs with him and i'm wondering about what questions he may get asked as he enters Canada. He visited twice before but always had a return ticket and never had a problem at customs.
If they ask him what he's doing in Canada, should he give them the full story ( we are getting married. applying for PR outland and then we plan on applying for a vistor visa extension) to show proof that he understands and knows what he is doing, or should he just say he is here to visit his fiance? Not sure how much information we really need to provide at the border, and we don't want to cause ourselves any trouble later on.
Thank you.

There is something in the immigration act called "duty of candour" when people are entering Canada so that does refer to telling the truth about the purpose for entering. So if you have things booked for your wedding and are going to get married right after he gets here and apply to sponsor then you may want to disclose all of that. However, if you do not have anything confirmed and won't be 100% sure of those plans until your fiance gets here then you may want to keep it simple and stick with the visit. Either way anyone can be denied entry for any reason but your point about not wanting any issues further down the road is a very valid one. If Immigration at any juncture in the spouse PR application process thinks a couple has "misrepresented" the facts, that can cause serious problems. I suggest you do a bit more "googling" of this question and/or use the search function on this forum as others will likely have been in that position before. Also there are some "senior" forum members that have a lot of knowledge and they may respond to this post as well. Best wishes.
