Hello,

I'm currently applying through Ontario's Human Capital Priorities program via Express Entry. Here’s my timeline for reference:
  • Ontario nomination approval: January 03
  • Invitation to Apply (ITA): January 10
  • Application submission: January 19
  • Medical and Biometric request: February 23
  • Medical exam and Biometrics submitted/passed: March 12
  • Received request for Schedule A 5669 form, military service info, and resume: March 13
  • Submitted additional documents: March 19

As of June 15, my application tracker shows that the last update was on March 20. The current status is as follows:
  • Biometrics: Completed
  • Medical exam: Completed
  • Eligibility: Completed
  • Background verification: In Progress

I understand that I might have provided a lot of information, but I wanted to give the full context.

My main questions are about the Eligibility and Background verification stages:
  1. What do these stages mean exactly?
  2. Does "Eligibility completed" indicate that my documents (e.g., proof of work and education) have been reviewed and accepted?
  3. Should I be concerned about the possibility of my application being rejected at this stage (I realize no one can provide a definite answer)?
  4. Does "Background verification" relate to checking any security issues?
  5. Lastly, I know that providing an exact timeline is challenging, but based on your experience, what is the most likely range of time remaining for my application to reach a final decision?

Thank you very much for your insights!
