HI GUYS

I have a question very serious for me about EE under CEC. I graduate a post secondary school in BC in 2013 then worked for over 1 year with PGWP as an automotive tech. but I couldn't find any employer who could extend my work permit at that time so I had to go back home country in Jan 2015. now I came to Canada again with LMIA which is different job title and expecting to get ITA at next draw because I got extra 600 CRS points.

what I'm wondering is am I still eligible to apply for CEC category without 1 yr experience from current job title? I'm afraid I might have to work another one more year to be eligible to apply for PR

plz advice me you wise guys
Thanks

That's a really good question!

I think technically you will have 1 year, but just not in the job you have your LMIA for. I think try and apply, if they reject your application at least you will know for sure rather than sticking it out for a year when you could have already got your PR.

Perhaps Scylla or Asivad could help here?

Pretty sure you can. My mate had experience under one trade but his lmia was for another trade and he has got his pr on exptess entry through cec

As long as the experience is within the past 3 years and it is skilled, it will count for the purpose of CEC. It does not have to be in a single NOC, as long as it is skilled, it counts.
