Hi there, my situation is a tiny bit complicated in relation to counting the days to citizenship and I was wondering if someone could help me out. (Maybe I’m making it complicated.)
I landed in Canada on May 7, 2018 with a Visitor Visa, stayed for 6 months and applied for a Work Permit and Permanent Residence. During this time, I was waiting for AOR until I received my Work Permit. My Work Permit started on January 1, 2019, and then I finally received my PR card on April 30, 2019.
The problem is I misplaced my Visitor Visa but I still have my old Work Permit, and of course my PR card with other official documents.
My question is, would immigration need to see old documents in order to prove the validity of me first landing in Canada on May 7, 2018? Also, my passport was stamped once I landed with a Visitor Visa as well, I’m sure it holds credibility, but would those days spent in Canada count towards citizenship even if I lack my misplaced Visitor Visa?
Thank you, sorry for the confusion ahead of time.
