On the Background Declaration form, there is the question: "Have you ever had any serious disease or physical or mental disorder?"
Five years ago, I had a bout of Mumps. Mumps was treated very seriously by doctors here in the UK - it is classed as a "notifiable disease", meaning the doctor had to report my diagnosis to the local Health Protection Team and Public Health England. I made a full recovery within a few weeks, but during that period I was essentially quarantined at home, having been told by doctors that the risk to public health was high and I should stay away from basically everyone until I was better.
Should I mention this on the form? I'm not sure what they class as 'serious disease' (I immediately think something more long-term and serious such as cancer, but thought I better double check).
Thanks in advance!
