Hello...
I received a closed work permit in 2007 but when i landed my boss didn't had any work for me so i decided to work to another contractor till my work permit expired. He asked for my sin and i give it to him. I left Canada after my work permit expires. But i want to go back and apply for another work permit. My question is if the CIC has this information( working to another employer) and if i been flag so that i can't apply ever again.

Thks

If CIC knew you were working illegally, you probably would have heard from them already. If they find out somehow you were working illegally, then your work permit will likely be rejected.

By law you are required to obtain a new LMIA and then start work with new emplyer which you didn't and most probably you are going to be rejected as you have used you SIN to work , because in the app form you will be asked to provide your info if you have lived in CAnada previously and if yes then your file will automatically be pulled out for back ground check uP..

Your lawyer is wrong. You may want to get a new lawyer. Tax records attached to your SIN will easily show you worked for someone else.

As i explained in my previous reply "By law you are required to obtain a new LMIA and then start work with new emplyer which you didn't and most probably you are going to be rejected as you have used you SIN to work , because in the app form you will be asked to provide your info if you have lived in CAnada previously and if yes then your file will automatically be pulled out for back ground check uP.."
Its you are going to apply then its just simple that in your app form you will asked to travel history where Canada is one of them and after they found you on the system then they will start your BG check up in Canada , And remember that if your D.O.B and your name matches then it's really easy for them to find and match your info......I hope you understand it and choosing a lawyer is upto you.
Good luck...!!! :)

But there is any change of getting a new closed work permit even if they find out? It's been almost 6 years since i left Canada. Do they have any ban period for this or i am banned forever?

Thanks for all of your help
