Question about cic address and sending a updated new information

Hello, im pretty new here.

i submited my spouse sponsorship application last tuesday May 1st 2012. yesterday i found out under IMM1344 Question 5 date of birth which im suppose to write down my wife birthday but i wrote my birthday instead by mistake. So now i'm thinking if i should send them a new imm1344 with correct information and a cover letter.
is this mistake going to cause any problem?

sorry i know this is a silly question.
On the envelope , im going to write the sponsorship spousal and cic address of course but i'm not sure what else i need to state on the envelope that they know this is the update information that is a redo of the form that i made a mistake on in the first place.

Hello, and welcome! They are unlikely to see a new letter in time since they open and process them in order. You could try faxing CPC-M - see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/mississauga.asp for fax number.

Also, send the updated form once your application makes it to the visa office with an explanation and the application number - they will need an updated form and will be able to put everything together even if mailed at different times.
