Dear forum members

I applied for FSW but due to some reasons my application was found ineligible.
The CIC informed me by e-mail:

"The processing fee and, if applicable, the Right of Permanent Residence Fee that you paid are refundable. You will receive a cheque within 12 to 16 weeks OR if you paid by credit card you will receive a credit on the credit card provided within 12 to 16 weeks.

The refund cheque will be sent to the address provided in your application."

My question is: CIC will send me my original cheques that I sent when I apply or they will send new one.

I am asking this because the validity of the cheque that I send for FSW was 6 months, now 4 months passed and it is valid for another 2 months.
As stated in the mail, I will receive cheque for 2-3 months, and by the time I receive it, the cheque will not be valid.

Should I go to the bank to explain to them the situation?
I guess if CIC will provide me new checque in my name than I will not have problems.
Thanks

A new cheque will be sent.

So no need to go to the bank to cancel the old one.
Once I receive the new one I will be able to change it in a local bank?
Thanks

I think they will send you a new one, because they cashed in the original cheque? What is there to cancel out??

The new cheque that I will receive from CIC, can I change it directly in a Bank in Canada?
thanks
