Question about Canada Working Holiday (Proof of Funds)

I have two questions:

1. On the website, it states 'officer might ask.' Does this mean it's highly likely they will ask for proof of funds?

2. Then the next sentence says 'you must present a statement.' Is it necessary to provide only a statement, or is cash also acceptable?

What do you think?

Is it approved?
1. Expect it or permit may not be issued.
2. From the site…You must present a statement of your bank account issued no more than 1 week before your departure for Canada. It must clearly show that you have enough money to support yourself for the first 3 months of your stay in Canada (the equivalent of CAN$2,500).

It's approved. The only thing left is to enter the country.

Thanks for your reply.

Keep in mind that $2500 is basically nothing in regards to how long it’ll keep you afloat in this country .

If you have your rent covered you’d be living on rice & beans
