Question About Calculating Work Experience for Express Entry Profile

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding how to accurately represent my work experience in my Express Entry (EE) profile. Here's a breakdown of my situation:

I started working in Canada with ABC company on June 1, 2022, and continued there until June 2023. However, I took a two-month unpaid leave from January 2023 to February 2023, during this job. It's important to note that I was not in Canada during this leave.

Later, in June 2023, I changed companies and have been working with my current employer since then. However, I took another unpaid leave from work, this time for three months, from December 2023 to February 2024. Again, I was not in Canada during this period.

Now, when I'm inputting my work experience into my EE profile, it's automatically calculating two years of experience. However, technically, I am five months short of completing two years of continuous work experience.

It's important to note that there were no changes in my position or pay when I returned to work after each leave.

I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to accurately represent my work experience in my EE profile, considering the periods when I was out of the country on unpaid leave. Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards!
