I have two questions about this form. I am doing it electronically, however on question 11 it say the date of my last entry into Canada, but I can't edit the field... No matter what I do I can't edit the field.

Is there something I have missed here?

Any body can help me with this I would appreciate it greatly!

Hi gentar, when I read your post I opened IMM0008 on my computer and just tried to fill the date and it works fine.
For question 11 you can place mouse near to YYYY-MM-DD so that you could see a pointer appears with a small box near to place. Click the mouse there so that a calendar will pop up. Choose the correct date moving the month left or right and select the proper date. The date you selected will appear in the form. Try again to correct the date if necessary.

you can only fill that in if your present country of residence is Canada (Question 10), so if not, don't fill it out.

Sorry, I don't think so. Please see what is Q-10 and 11 of IMM 0008

10. Current country of residence:
From the list, select the appropriate information to indicate:
 The name of your current country of residence. Your country of residence is the country in which you are residing, provided that you have been lawfully admitted to that country.
 Your immigration status in that country (indicate one of the following):
o Citizen
o Permanent resident
o Visitor
o Worker
o Student
o Other
 Other: This section must be completed if you selected "Other" as a status.
 The dates (From – To) you have been living in your current country

11.Enter the date of your last entry to Canada.
Indicate the place you last entered Canada (Example: Toronto Airport, Lacolle border crossing, seaport Yarmouth, etc.)

If any applicant has entered Canada in any status, they have to fill it.

I had the same problem before when trying to fill out that question. My fiance lives in Dominican Republic but has had a TRV to Canada and because we put DR as his place of residence it wouldn't allow us to fill in the last entry date into Canada. The question sounds as if anyone who has been in Canada must fill that out so we're also confused. I don't know if we should fill it in by hand since we can't fill that question in electronitcally... but then that will have something different than if they just scan the bar code to input the info into their date base... I'm confused as well.

I did not fill it out, although I had been in Canada several times, but I think it's on purpose that you can not fill it out, if your country of residence is not Canada. My husband got sponsorship approval with our application and they didn't complain. My guess is that this part is for Inland applications. Because they should know by your list of addresses and work, when you have been in Canada. I don't think filling it in by hand makes much sense.
But it's definitely phrased very confusing.
