Hi all, I would like to seek help to answer Question 6B on the citizenship application. I was an international student back in 20 years ago and I left Canada after graduation to go back to my home country. I came back Canada again in 2007 as a PR and now I want to apply for citizenship. In my case, what date should I put under "first came to Canada to live"? date I was as in international student 20 years ago or date I as a PR in 2007?

Thanks!

Thanks Steady.

Actually I just called CIC and wanted to share with you guys with similar situation. According to CIC, it's best to put the date arrived as a PR on question 6 (b), i.e. same date as 6(a), then write an explanation note separately to describe the period as an international student.

Hope that helps those with similar background.
