Hello all, I applied in Concordia University for MA in Economics program, however, the admission committee was not satisfied the amount of core courses I had finished in my Bachelor program (in Economics as well), hence, they offered me Graduate Diploma Economics Program (Winter 2022).
In this Graduate Diploma Economics offer letter, Concordia authority has mentioned three specific courses and gave a condition that if I could manage to get B+/above on these 3 courses I will be able to shift in MA in Economics program. Now in reality I really want to pursue MA in Economics from Concordia University. For the Study Permit application how should I approach?

So far, I was thinking about these 2 approaches>>

1. Mention in study plan that I want to go for PGD program to bolster my understanding in Economics, which will make me more prepared for pursuing masters and write the study plan accordingly
2. Completely ignore the fact that I want to study in MA program and write the study plan as a student who wants to finish the Graduate Diploma Economics Program.

Please do not hesitate to share your valuable insights regarding the matter.

I would go with option 1. Include the correspondence from the school and the conditional acceptance to MA as well.

You may also want to address why 'MA Economics from Concordia', as opposed to MA Eco from any other uni which offers you unconditional admission. But if the core courses you are missing are the likes of maths/stats then you will likely get the same response from other leading universities as well.

In case you have work ex you could probably see what program seems to appear more logical for your career (may or may not be MA Eco)

Good luck!
