Query regarding SPP - Gap of 6 years

I have completed
* SSC in 2005 (77%)
* Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
in 2008 (65%)
* IELTS - 6.5 (No less than 6)
* Work Experience from 2008 till
present in Mechanical field.
Now got letter of acceptance from
Mohawk college & George Brown College, Canada for
Mechanical Engineering technology
Am I eligibile for student visa under
SPP?
What are the chances of getting a
study visa?

Some consultants said i'm eligibile as I have related work experience while some said that because of my gap I am not eligibile under SPP, as gap is more than four years. Is it true??

I researched on the internet but couldn't find anything about that.

I am really confused. Seniors please help!!

yes you can apply because you have related work experience in the field of study i would suggest you not to apply under ssp. and rest is fine your profile is good remember to add a strong SOP and tht's it you will get it.

I'm afraid my consultant is applying under SPP only. The LOA I have got from Mohawk has a SPP Number on its top right corner.

Is there any way where I can find about SPP?
I'm thinking to write a mail to VFS helpline. Will that be ok?

You can apply under spp, no problem in doing so. But make sure that you add a strong sop with your application.

If the college falls under the SPP colleges list, then suggest you to apply only under SPP.
Visa officer would check this as an eligibilty criterion.
