Query regarding NOC selection (0122)?

Hi,

I am new in this forum. I have been reading this forum for quite some time and it has helped me with my application. But right now I am a bit confused regarding correct NOC to choose.

My work activities and reference letter are a close match to NOC 0122 (credit managers). I am providing below list of job duties under NOC 0122 from Canada's official website. Those duties which match my reference letter are put in bold:

• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities of a credit department in an industrial or commercial organization
• Administer corporate, commercial and personal loan accounts
• Advise customers on the commercial and personal financial services corresponding to their needs
• Evaluate and review loan and credit applications and collateral and make recommendations
• Approve or reject credit applications, establish credit limits and determine repayment plans or schedules in accordance with authorized limits
• Ensure collection of overdue or delinquent accounts
• Ensure credit policies and procedures are followed according to established guidelines and applicable legislation
• Prepare credit and loan reports
• Recruit credit personnel and identify their training needs.

Therefore I chose NOC 0122 when I submitted Express Entry profile (yet to receive ITA). However to be double sure, I checked with an Immigration Consultant based in Toronto, Canada. He mentioned that my job duties as per reference letter very closely match NOC 0122. However I do not control or evaluate credit department (job duty marked red above), I cannot choose managerial NOC like NOC 0122. He suggested that I have a look at NOC 1112, 1114 and 6235. When I looked at these other NOCs, they do not match my reference letter as much as NOC 0122.

I would really like to know all your views in this matter and suggest me about what should be done next.
Please also let me know if it is okay to change NOC code AFTER receiving an ITA.

In addition to the list of duties, it is necessary for your role to be in line with the lead statement. In case of managerial NOCs, you should ideally be able to demonstrate certain level of supervisory or decision making authority.
I dont know of any other NOC related to credit managers apart of 0122. NOC 6235 would not be the right fit for as it mainly deals with direct customer contact and preparation of applications.

What did you end up using and were you successful?
