Query regarding linking Paper Application Online

I applied for my study permit from VFS Bangalore on July 4th. I applied through a consultant and they advised me not to link my application online. I just want to know if theres actually anything wrong it linking it online so that I can know the real status of my application. And also when I applied, the processing time was 6 weeks. Now it has been revised to 7 weeks. Will this change be applicable to me or will it be the same 6 week processing time for me as well. Kindly reply.

There is no wrong in linking the paper online you said you applied through a consultant so there is a great chance that he might have linked it so even if you tried you will end up with no results ask your consultant if he had already kinked it or not....

I applied at vfs Chennai and my paper was transferred to bangalore visa office I linked it online and found that I have passed my medicals and I applied on July 4 too
