Hi all,

i have done BBA in hotel and Tourism Management and have a three years of experience in the same feild

i have scored 7.0 bands in IELTS

i have applied for PG Diploma in business and tourism management in Selkirk college BC Canada

Few Queries
1)how many days will it take for the visa process
2)will i be able to apply for pr once i complete my pg of 2 yrs
3)under which catagory will this come skill type O A or B?
4) will skill type C gets points for PR
5)do we get time after cmpletion of PG in cnada to apply for PR or work permitt and then PR?

Ok guy.. good that u r goin for a logical progression of ur studies.. So no problems there..
ur IELTS score is decent.. so good there too..

By VISA process, u mean what ??

Coz if all ur docs r ready.. and u send ur application..
the VO replies in anywhere from 3 to 15 days..

There r a lot of other posts where PR porgrams r mentioned.. refer to that.. the 1st one here is a very good posts for this.. read that..
u will have plenty of info..

This skill type is A i guess.. i mite be wrong.. but its definetly not B.. so u r good there.. if ur qstn is for PR then dont worry ur skill type falls in the requirements for CEC, PNP both.. so go on..

Wudnt u wana work after PG ? or atleast have a job offer in hand before u go for PR ?
they have some requirement.. so check that in the post I mentioned..

If you are going for a 2yrs PG diploma course then after your studies are over you may get a post graduate work permit upto 3 years (as per current laws). This shall enable you to work full time for three years.

Then within that 3 years if you wish to get a PR (permanent residence) status in Canada, then you may apply for one - either in federal category or a PNP of the province where you have studied and are currently working.

This PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) fast tracks your case, if you are eligible / if you come under that category.

To know about the requirements of PNP's of different provinces + its processing time, I would suggest you to go through the thread started by Tiger.

After going through these, then you may choose the program that you think is most relevant to your studies + work experience and also help you for a easier PR route.
