Query on PPR for detroit visa office !!

Hi all,

I received a Passport request from OTT-Pilot ottawa, to send the passports to Detroit. Have got some queries in that.
1) I am currently located in India. Is there any way to send the passport?
2) Detroit's website says that a return address envelope be provided with a US Address. Can I give any friend's address in US as return address.

Can anyone pls. reply back to my queries. They have given only 30 days, so have to act quickly. Thanks..
