Query about IELTS Please reply guys

Does IELTS( with somewhat good academics) have major impact over a visa application?

Cos i see lot of people in this forum getting more positive results with good IELTS.

IELTS isn't everything. Means you won't be granted visa just because you've got 7-8 or even 9 bands. But,most master's degrees require at least 6.5 bands. VO can refuse your application if you get low marks. Reason is simple, if you can't properly understand what's being taught in class and if you can't maintain stable conversations with teachers and students then you will have a hard time there. Moreover, VO can get suspicious that if you can't speak English properly then why you opted to study in an English speaking country in the first place!

Ielts is just a proof of our English proficiency,that one can able to speak,read,write and listen english
i think ielts is just a requirement of university,college ..in case of embassy, it make our overall profile strong
vo take decision on the basis of various other factors,such as,
1- acceptance letter
2-academic background
3-financial support
4-overall aim of student
5- physically good( medical)

yes I'd sort out the factors according to their importance :
1. funds ( no need to study there if you can't afford it)
2. academic abilities ( if you're applying as a students then you gotta be a decent student and if you're intelligent then you'll learn the language faster too) so ielts is part of your academic abilities
3. your inner health is given more importance then your physical health. you won't be refused a visa if you look fat lol. they want to be sure you won't spread a disease there.
4. overall future plans ( if you've completed masters then you MUST have a fair idea about your future )
5. the choice of your educational institution ( visa isn't only for people going to fancy universities they guarantee nothing )
