Hey guys, I had a query about how do you enter time that was spent unemployed/waiting for a work permit in the Calculate Physical Presence?
How does one fill in the blank spaces between student and work?

Jan 2017 - August 2017 : Was the duration of my school (2 semesters)
Jan 2017 - Nov 2017 - Was the full duration of my study permit

Jan 2017Arrived in Canada on Study Permit
Nov 2017Applied for PGWP
Jan 2018Received the Post Grad Work Permit
Feb 2018Started Working

I was physically in Canada during these dates, so do I enter:
International StudentJan 2017 - Jan 2018
Temporary WorkerFeb 2018 - ....

Similarly I was waiting for a work permit from Jan 2019 to May 2019.
Dec 2018Applied for bridging work permit
Jan 2019PGWP expired
May 2019Bridging work permit arrived
July 2019Became a PR

Still physically present in Canada during all these dates so do I enter:
International StudentJan 2017 - Jan 2018
Temporary WorkerFeb 2018 - July 2019

----

Thanks guys

If you were waiting for a work permit then you are not supposed to work during that period so unemployed.

dd Jan 2017 - dd Jan 2018 : Student
dd Jan/Feb 2018 - dd Jan 2019 : employed

dd Jan 2019 - dd May 2019 : unemployed
dd May 2019 - Present : Employed

After studying and applying for a PGWP, you can work during that period until your work permit arrives- just that I was unemployed :(
Unemployed? Sorry, but these are the options for the Physical Presence Calculator ....
