You need to submit proof of english or french proficiency. Same as in any other province. It's a federal process though, so that means you have the choice of which language to use.

Hello:

My question is almost similar to the topic in question.

I was sponsored by my spouse for PR from Quebec. I landed here almost 2 years back, resided in the province and never moved out.

I am planning to move to Alberta next year before I file for citizenship. My question is:

1 - Can I file for citizenship from Alberta?
2 - Will there be any issue as I am from Sponsored spouse category?
3 - What things will I have to keep on hand before filing for citizenship?

Thanks in advance!

1. Yes, if you are eligible. Although the new Citizenship requirement of 4 years residency in the past 6 will probably be in force when you apply .
2. No.
3. Your COPR passports with their entry/exit stamps, and proof of language ability
