I have scoured the internet in hopes of getting answers and I have found little to none that make sense to me or that aren't in very drawn out legal terms. So, I'm hoping someone could help me.
Some background info: My fiance and I are rather young (I am around 19, but my husband-to-be is 22) and neither of us have gone to college despite plans to. Due to hard times with family, I had to drop out and settle for getting my GED. My husband-to-be and I have been together for 6 years in April.
My concerns are our lack of possible points to be able to finally get married and officially be together in Quebec.
He recently landed a job making 12.05 an hour and will be working roughly 40 hours a week, but during my scouring of the internet it told me he would need to make a minimum of 30k-40k a month to be able to sponsor me.
That would mean his gross income is about 24k.
However, we are very certain that with his current job in the apartment he has, he is making more than enough for us to live together.
My other question is does anyone know the point system to get into quebec? Point per subject? I can't seem to find it anywhere and it's very difficult to either find what I need to improve on or if I'll be able to get in.
Any advice or information on where to start would be helpful. Thanks.
