QUEBEC Divorced parents application

Hi everyone,

I have been taken in the lottery to apply for my parents. This is my situation (I live in Quebec):

My parents are divorced so I know that I need to send 2 applications (one for my mother and one for my father), I also asked the government if 1 lottery can allow me sending 2 applications and they said yes in the case of divorced parents.

Family size:

My mother is alone (no dependent nor husband) and my father has a wife + a daughter.

My situation:

I basically have enough revenues in 2021 to sponsor the 4 of them (mother + father, his wife and daughter) but I am missing 8000$ for 2020 to sponsor the 4 of them (I just changed job in January). I know that in QC they will look at the past 12 months (they ask for 2020 tax slips + a letter from my actual employer which will show that I now have enough for 4 persons). Moreover before Quebec asks me for revenues I still need to send my application to the Federal (so QC will ask me probably in June-July for my revenues which will help me since I will have a few more months with enough revenues).

Questions (regarding minimum income in Quebec)

1) In case they say that I do not have enough to sponsor the 4 of them since I did not have enough in 2020, will they give me the choice to only choose one of the 2 applications and sponsor just my mother since her application is separate from my father's application and I have more than enough for 1 person? Or will they just refuse both applications?

2) Also in case of refusal, do they first send me an intention of refusal asking me for more proofs before they take a decision? Or will they just send me a refusal directly?

Thank you in advance for your help.

You will need to pick either your mother or your father and his family. You don’t have the income to sponsor both. If you don’t have the income you shouldn’t be applying for more than 3 other people.
