I am on a work permit in Montreal, if my son wants to come to Concordia University Montreal, does he have a high chance of Visa rejection? I have been told that he should apply for some other university located in any state other than Quebec. Please advise, i really want him to join me.

He can apply to Concordia and once accepted, apply for CSQ and then study permit. He needs to show funds, ties to home country (return home), career goals, travel history etc. He can apply to another universite in another province but it will not change his profile.

He has a good profile, CGPA is 3.0 and has traveled to UAE once. How can he prove strong ties with country? any idea? I am his sponsor and I will be in Montreal soon. His father is in home country tho. How much funds he needs to show? Also, do you think his case can be stronger if he applies in a university in another province. Please help.

Assume he is a teenager so ties are his family and any job opportunities. You living and working in Canada (doesn't matter what province) weakens his profile. Applying in another province doesn't change that you are in Canada. Funds - pay first-year tuition and show a minimum of $10k. Don't know what program he is applying for but if a 4-year program, he should show substantial funds.
