In my opinion, you can apply for CSQ as single i.e. someone who is not accompanied by his spouse. No need to show that you're divorced / separated. You will require 55 points to qualify for CSQ instead of 63 poinits, if your wife is not accompanying you.

I would have quoted the reference in my first post had I known about it but you should have at least thought twice before advising somebody to divorce his wife. I understand you're not married yet but you're intelligent enough to foresee the possible implications of your comments/advice. At the time of my previous post, I was pretty sure that Canadian government is not so stupid that they deprive a person of their civil and conjugal rights to deem him eligible for the immigration process. Anyhow, I had no intention to "bring you down", lol, I just wanted to rectify your mistake and ensure that you and other sernior members like you get their facts right before advising sombody on this forum. As for your B1, the reason I mentioned it was because the guidelines are in French and most of the people on this forum are french beginners hence they can't understand the rules and procedures written in french. You had the moral responsibility to consult with them before making a comment, which you didn't and it needed to be addressed. I am quite satisfied with my education and background and your remarks will make me no smaller person to say the least 8) Probably your insecurities are reflected in your comments.
