Hello, I am a PR returning to Canada. I am not yet vaccinated therefore I understand I will have to maintain a 14 days quarantine period. However, most likely I will be living in a shared residence where I might have to share toilet/kitchen with someone. I was wondering what might be the implications if my quarantine plan is not deemed sufficient at the border? What can I do to avoid any issues? Thanks

You don’t have a adequate quarantine plan. Believe you have to indicate that you have an acceptable quarantine plan when you fill out the Arrive an app. If you don’t you can get fined. Most likely you will be told to book an Airbnb or hotel while at the airport. It would be much better to book in advance so you can find the best option and rate. If you try to get away with your unacceptable quarantine plan you can be fined if not more charges. Your roommates will also be at risk or catching and spreading covid to others. They may also have problems entering some places or even their school or workplace because they will have been in contact with someone who is currently quarantining. You don’t have an option you must get a proper place to quarantine if you want to come back to Canada. It looks like you aren’t actually returning to a home in Canada. Airbnbs won’t let you share an Airbnb or stay in some sort of hostel if you are not vaccinated and doing quarantine.

I also faced the quarantine problem at one time. I lived alone, but I had to be in society right away. I started consulting and studying various information, for example - https://lawrina.com/us-law/federal/codes/. In general, it is better not to cause yourself the trouble and even more health problems for other people.
