Dear Friend,
I have done 10th, 12th & 3 year apprenticeship from siemens.CAn this be considered 15 years of full time education?
can i apply for PR visa with this educational background
I have also done part time diploma in industrial electronics can this be considered?.
My decision depends on advice given by the forum members
I have experience of more than 10 years in electrical maintenance field.

I don't think it can be counted as 15 yrs full time education.....let seniors comment on the no. of education points you can receive..

Please check page 15 & 32 of the OP manual on CIC

Page 32 states that

'Three year post-secondary educational credential, other than a university educational credential, and at least 15 years of completed full-time or full-time equivalent studies will yeild you 22 points'

Page 15 defines educational credential as

'Educational credential” is defined in R73 as any diploma, degree or trade or apprenticeship credential issued on the completion of a program of study or training at an educational or training institution recognized by the authorities responsible for registering, accrediting, supervising and regulating such institutions in the country of issue.'

So as per the CIC website a 3 year apprenticeship shall get you 22 points.
Though I suggest you to seek advise from some seniors.

It seems that you are Indian, where apprenticeship is not given much importance. So I can't say much for India where ITI certification is much more valid.

Did my 3 years apprenticeship in electronic mechanic from Siemens Limited. Andheri.
Also i have not got the answer for my part time diploma in industrial electronics.

seniors plz help kamaljit in this regards......I cn understand hw anxious u feelin for the right answer.......u hd send me a PM earlier this week but Im confused as to how many education pts u should be gettin....

From what nano says ....Im not sure as "A three-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship AND at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study" would get u 22 pts.....but u don't have 15 yrs of full time education.

Kamaljit just provide ur whole case out here(wat have u studied and hw many yrs experience u have) and then the seniors could help u better.

Also don't worry there is still time for u.......u can apply for PR only after july1

Dear Seniors,
Here is my education & work experience so that you can provide me the right advice.
I have done my SSC in March 1991 (full time), HSC (Science) in MArch 1993
After that I was selected for Apprenticeship from siemens training centre ( 3 years full time Apprenticeship) from August 1993 to August 1996.
After Completing Apprenticeship i joined Neha Electronics for Repairs, MAintenance & Installation of Drives & PLC's (both inhouse & onsite) from March 1997 to February 1999.
After that i joined Osram limited in Sonepat in maintenance department from february 1999 to October 2000.
Again i joined Neha electronics & worked from November 2000 to March 2005.
I started doing my part time diploma (4 Years due to part time) in 2003 . I got direct admission in 2nd year as i have done 12 th science & Apprenticeship.Completed the diploma in 2006.
I worked Aplab Limited as service engineer in UPS industry from 2005 to 2008.
In 2008 i worked as a software tester for 5 months ( was not interested much).
In 2008 i joined Emerson network power as quality engineer (Field related issues).
After working there for around 6 months i joined Siemens limited in December 2008 wher i am still working in Maintenance department as a senior executive.Where all the works of NOC7242 are carried out by us also in Neha electronics & Osram we used to carry out .
This is all my education history & work experience brief kindly advice me as i have to apply for PR visa.Am i elligible?.
