As long as it takes your background and security checks to come back to CHC with a negative (good) response from all the agencies they have contacted in respect of your person or other persons in your household. Averagely it takes two months.
thanks in advance

Dear barsindoo
Thanks for your reply, my question is "does sending the medical means the background check is over and the security will be left?"

Yes, the standard b/ground checks stand completed as u get to the meds stage. Beyond which, your file goes into security checks - as the meds get ratified. Usually, this should complete by 3-5 months...@max 7 months. However, lot depends on what & how it is done, which is case specific.

Qorax
Ps.: CIC terms the s/checks as "b/g checks" too.

Very well said.

It is mainly immigration officer's discretion how he/she will process PR applications.

Red and white teams at CHC London work alongside but in mirror image e.g., White team- security checks on PR applications before medical instructions while Red team- conducts security checks on PR applications after medical instructions.

Red team and White team - are you for real?

Do they have a referee and have oranges at half time?

This information is available to the public, buried a bit, but it is there.

The immigration program at the Canadian High Commission in London manages refugee class, family class and economic class immigrant cases (skilled workers, business class and provincial nominees). As stated above, the immigration program has three sub-teams involved in the processing of these cases. All three teams are managed by one CBO. Each of the three sub-teams has a coordinator in place to oversee day-to-day operations. One of these teams (the Priority Team) is devoted to the processing of skilled workers with arranged employment, refugee cases and priority family class cases. The other two teams (Red and White teams) process all other permanent resident cases. The non-immigrant program at the RPC is comprised of one processing team headed by an experienced foreign service officer. The largest component of the non-immigrant program is student, temporary worker and temporary resident visitor processing.

Of course that may be the case. But as for Red and White teams being inside knowledge - Il n'obtient aucun point.
