Hello all in this forum,
I'm an old applicant. My update of documents reached the embassy 8 months ago and still no news. Next month I will start working with a new employer. Do I have to update the embassy regarding this issue or not? My file is under background check as I was told from the embassy since I sent them an email. Please provide your answer.
Thank you,

I would let them of the change since it will affect any verification they do of the information they have. For new applicants, I know they explicitly ask you to advise them of any changes of employment amongst other items (e.g family composition). Have you checked your application and AOR for similar instructions?

Actually, I know that it's also explicitly written in the declaration part of the background schedule under which I signed that the applicant should immediately inform the visa office where I submitted my application if any of the information or the answers provided in my application forms change". Isn't this a change? shouldn't I inform them of it? please tell me since some other people are telling me that it's not necessary and it may delay the processing of my file. what do you think?

I would not do anything that can be construed as hiding information from the CIC or your VO. You need to make your own decisions (you can ask people that say it isn't necessary why they say that given what you've signed, etc. to help inform your decision but ultimately you need to make your own decision). And, frankly, it sounds like you've made your decision already!
