Qatar Police Clearance

Hello everyone
Has anyone managed to get Qatar Police clearance from UAE.I had asked one of my friend to apply on my behalf in Qatar however they are asking for a special power of attorney attested by court,Ministry of foreign affairs and Qatar Embassy.Any view on this?

Yes, as mentioned also on CIC site, you will have to get special power of attorney if you're applying from outside Qatar.

Or you can go back via Oman/Iran and get it yourself.

EDIT: You or your friend will also need your fingerprints. If you'll send those to your friend from the UAE, you will have to go to Ministry of Interior (in Abu Dhabi) or Dubai Police (in Dubai) and then get it stamped by Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well.

As per CIC's recommendation, here's the full list:

• A letter explaining the purpose for which the certificate is required
• Original fingerprints certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Qatari Embassy in the country where you are currently residing.
• A copy of the passport that you used in Qatar
• A copy of your old or expired residence visa in Qatar and ID card
• A copy of your current passport
• Three photographs (4x6 cm)
• Applicable fees
