Guys
I need help for advice if someone has been in similar situation as me
Based on this link https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/apply-permanent-residence/police-certificates.html, it is mentioned that :
"1. For any other country from which you need a police certificate: the police certificate must have been issued after the last time you stayed in the country for 6 months or more in a row.
2. If you’ve requested police certificates in the past, you can also include copies of the originals in your application."
I hold Indonesia Citizenship but I have lived outside Indonesia since 2004 until now. Everytime I went home for a visit, it never exceeded 6 months, usually just for few weeks every year or two year for the last 10 years. Based on point 1 above, do I still need to provide Indonesia PCC for this ? It could be a quite a hassle to apply for it as I am not present in Indonesia and currently live in in NZ for the last 5.5 years (unless it is really required)
Secondly, my partner is from England. He had requested UK PCC in 2016 as requirement for NZ Resident Visa and he had a copy of the original. Since 2016, he only went back to UK twice for short visit and the stay did not exceed 6 months. Does he still need to request a new PCC or is it ok if he could supply the copy of 2016 UK PCC as pointed on Point 2 above ?
Thanks for the help !!
