Hi all,

I studied one year post graduate certificate in Canada, (ON). I currently have a full time job without LMIA. Unfortunately my work permit is about to expire (end of April), I am trying to explore my options. I have already applied under FSW but I couldn't get into cap and I don't have enough experience for CEC, unfortunately I only have 9 months work experience because it took a damn time to find a job in Canada.

Is there anyone who dealt with the same issue? I'd greatly appreciate if you can take a minute and reply.

Thank you,

You can apply under Express Entry. However applying under Express Entry won't allow you to remain in Canada and cotinue working. If you want to remain in Canada and continue working - either your current employer or a new employer would need to obtain an approved LMIA so that you can apply for a new work permit.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I can apply under express entry but my point is 380 which is nothing. LMIA is quite difficult to get and a lot of Canadian companies are not willing to go down that path. I thought I can maybe apply for PNP with a full time job offer, it doesn't require LMIA but I think it requires evidence of recruitment efforts, right?

Thanks in advance,

Yes - you would need an LMIA and yes - this would require evidence of recruitment efforts.
