Hello everyone!

I'm brand new here and this is my first post! :)

I have indeed searched online and this forum in general, but cannot find any information around my problem.

My wife has been accepted at a College in Ottawa and we are in the process of applying for the Visa. Everything is perfect, we have all of the documents sorted except for the "Purpose of Travel" for myself. (Spouse on Open Work Permit)

According to the Visa application site, it states:
"You must submit proof that you are coming to Canada for a temporary visit. Example of what you can provide as proof: A scanned copy of:
- your flight ticket departing Canada
- Your travel itinerary
- Proof of a medical appointment

My problem is that I have not yet booked any flight tickets (she starts in September; six / seven months in advance is a bit too much; In addition: I'm not sure I can get a return ticket for two years later) I don't have a medical appointment to book and also won't have much of an itinerary as we will be "living", not on holiday.

What can I upload for the visa application to satisfy this requirement? Has anyone else gone through this process and had the same problem? How did you solve it?

We are keeping our property in South Africa, will this plus an open bank account be sufficient for the document required?

Any help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated!
